Hello
Everyone! I'm so glad you stopped by! The photo to the left is of me and my owner, Christina. We make a great team! Can you tell? Chipthecar.com, like Chip the car, is all about spreading good vibes! We want to inspire you, and we want to be inspired too! What inspires you? Sign our guestbook and tell us... and we'll pass it on! We need some good ideas for how to make this site better! Please send us links, information, ideas, etc. on how we can help others make a positive impact in the world! Also, Please send us photos of the special car in your life! Or, send us stories of adventures in your car. We can't wait to hear from you! |
So, anyway, I'm Chip the car and I'm covered with
stickers. Some people in Westfield, where I live, call me "the sticker car" or "the bumper sticker car" but I actually got my name way before I started wearing stickers! Christina named me Chip because when she first got me, the paint on my hood was starting to chip. I’ve always stood out in the crowd, but back then, it was because I was a grey car with white spots… my chipped paint defined my personality, so my name is Chip! |
Now,
I am proud to say I am best known for my stickers... which are
all inspirational, thought-provoking, or otherwise
positive in some way. My goal is to make people happy, motivate them, and challenge their assumptions. And what better way to challenge assumptions than by putting myself out there in a world where seeing a car like me stirs up all sorts of assumptions from many people? Hopefully, they will take the time to read a few stickers and contemplate the feelings I trigger. |
Unfortunately,
sometimes I trigger negative feelings in people who refuse to see
the beauty in me. Some people are quick to judge Christina based on my appearance, often assuming she is trying to disrupt the flow of things with blatent rebellion, or other such nonsense! Sometimes, people will not take her seriously after seeing me. This makes me sad, so I asked her to place a "Statement of Purpose" among my stickers in an effort to challenge assumptions in those who still don't get it by reading the stickers alone. |
The
statement of purpose is for everyone to enjoy, though. People that love me say they love me even more because of it. It's just one more thing that makes me more than just a car with a bunch of stickers. My mission is so much more than meets the eye! I hope you'll take the time to read it while you're visiting the site! |
CHIP's Statement of Purpose Hello, my name is Chip, as you may already know. I am proud to be an extraordinary vehicle... sure to grab your attention wherever I go. You probably already know that I belong to Christina, but in fact, we belong to each other. She takes care of me and I take care of her. We remind each other that the world is a fascinating place with potential for ANYTHING to happen! We try to help everyone else too, by sharing our thoughts through the stickers I wear. We just hope they make a difference in at least one person’s attitude each day while we are out and about together. We’re pretty sure they’re affecting some of you, by the way you’re tailgating us in traffic! (Don’t worry, we’re glad you want to read them.) All of the stickers promote positive attitudes towards life, support noble causes or good music, challenge you to contemplate the way you think, are colorful and attractive, encourage you to get involved in what you believe in, or are just plain Fun! None of them are meant to be negative or rude, like so many bumper stickers tend to be these days. We apologize if any of them do offend you. Christina is very selective about what she lets me wear, avoiding any sarcasm that could be taken in the wrong way. Even if you don’t agree with the more politically significant messages, please keep in mind that I’m only expressing what we believe in, and the more important message comes from the general idea of the car. I am not meant to be a form of rebellion or an infliction of beliefs upon others... just an eye-catching reminder to be inspired by whatever it is in this world that you love! So,
be inspired, consider our messages, and ponder my presence. Most
importantly, take what you get from me and pass it on to others!
